We thought about cutting the cord for several years before we finally did. In retrospect, we wish we’d done it sooner! We’re saving a lot of money, (roughly $2700/year) which I discuss in Part 1 of my Cutting the Cord Series. I’m working on a much longer beginner’s type of guide for cutting the cord which is Part 2, but I the meantime needed to share the hardware choices we made with people so I wrote this really brief overview of for those people who don’t need my complete beginner’s guide, and who just want to know what we did, how we did it and mostly, the hardware we used. Cutting the Cord to Cable TV | Part 1 | $$ Cost Savings

‘Cutting the Cord’ has become kind of a catch phrase which means ending the relationship with your current TV and oftentimes Internet service provider. The second part of this implies that you procure your own hardware to provide similar services.
