We thought about cutting the cord for several years before we finally did. In retrospect, we wish we’d done it sooner! We’re saving a lot of money, (roughly $2700/year) which I discuss in Part 1 of my Cutting the Cord Series. I’m working on a much longer beginner’s type of guide for cutting the cord which is Part 2, but I the meantime needed to share the hardware choices we made with people so I wrote this really brief overview of for those people who don’t need my complete beginner’s guide, and who just want to know what we did, how we did it and mostly, the hardware we used.
